WHY PRAY?
Prayer Keeps Us Dependent on God
Prayer is how believers speak with God, seek His help, confess sin, give thanks, intercede for others, and align their hearts with His will.
We pray because God is worthy, because we need Him, because others need prayer, and because Scripture repeatedly calls believers to pray.
Prayer is not about impressive language. It is about coming honestly and reverently before God.

HOW TO PRAY
A Simple Biblical Pattern
Prayer can be simple, sincere, and rooted in Scripture.
Praise
Begin by remembering who God is and praising Him for His character.
Confess
Be honest about sin and seek cleansing and restored fellowship.
Give Thanks
Thank God for salvation, provision, answered prayer, and daily grace.
Ask
Bring your needs and the needs of others to God with humility and faith.
PRAY THE WORD
Let Scripture Shape Your Prayers
One of the best ways to learn to pray is to let the Bible guide what you ask for and care about.
Pray through the Psalms. Pray the promises and commands of Scripture. Pray for wisdom, holiness, courage, unity, love, and faithfulness.
The more Scripture fills your heart, the more your prayers will reflect God's priorities.

WHAT SHOULD WE PRAY FOR?
Pray Beyond Yourself
Healthy prayer includes personal needs, but it also reaches outward toward others and the work of God.
Your Walk with Christ
Pray for wisdom, holiness, obedience, faith, strength, and spiritual growth.
Your Family
Pray for salvation, unity, protection, wisdom, and godly homes.
Your Church
Pray for the pastor, teachers, ministries, unity, faithfulness, and spiritual fruit.
The Lost
Pray for family, friends, neighbors, and others who need Jesus Christ.
Missionaries
Pray for protection, provision, open doors, boldness, and Gospel fruit.
Those in Need
Pray for the sick, grieving, discouraged, burdened, and hurting.
PRAY TOGETHER
Prayer Is Part of the Life of the Church
The local church should be a praying church, not merely a preaching church or a serving church.
Corporate prayer helps believers bear burdens together, seek God's direction, pray for the lost, support missionaries, and intercede for the needs of the church family.
When the church prays together, it expresses dependence upon God rather than confidence in human strength.

The Prayer Room is a time to seek the Lord, pray for the services, pray for those who will attend, and ask God to work through His Word.

WHEN THE ANSWER DOES NOT COME QUICKLY
Keep Praying. Keep Trusting.
God does not always answer prayer in the way or timing we expect.
Sometimes the answer is yes. Sometimes no. Sometimes wait. Sometimes God changes the circumstances, and sometimes He changes us through the circumstances.
Faithful prayer means trusting the wisdom and goodness of God even when the answer is not yet clear.
REMEMBER
God Is Still Good
Delay does not mean God is absent. Trust His character while you wait for His answer.
