Jesus Christ?
Salvation is not found in religion, good works, baptism, church membership, or trying to become a better person. The Bible says eternal life is God's gift through Jesus Christ.
THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION
Where Will You Spend Eternity?
You can know for certain that your sins are forgiven and that you have eternal life through Jesus Christ.
The Bible does not teach that salvation is earned by being religious, doing good deeds, joining a church, being baptized, or comparing yourself to someone else.
Salvation begins with understanding what God says about our sin, what Jesus Christ has done for us, and how we must respond to the Gospel.
GOD'S PROMISE
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13 — KJV
FIRST, UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM
We Are All Sinners
Every person has sinned and fallen short of God's perfect standard.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Sin is more than making mistakes. It is disobedience against a holy God. Every lie, selfish thought, wrong action, and rejection of God's authority reveals our need for forgiveness.
No one is good enough to save himself. We all stand guilty before God and need a Saviour.
SECOND, UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENCE
Sin Has a Price
The Bible says the wages of sin is death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Just as wages are something we earn, death is the result of sin. This includes physical death and separation from God.
But Romans 6:23 does not end with death. It also tells us that God offers eternal life as a gift through Jesus Christ.
THE GOOD NEWS
Jesus Christ Paid the Price for You
God did not leave us without hope. Jesus Christ willingly took our place, died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 — KJV
THIRD, UNDERSTAND THE GIFT
Salvation Cannot Be Earned
Eternal life is a gift from God.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
A gift is not earned. You cannot purchase salvation with good works, religious effort, giving, baptism, or church attendance.
Jesus Christ has already done the work necessary for salvation. The question is whether you will receive Him by faith.
FINALLY, RESPOND TO THE GOSPEL
Repent and Believe on Jesus Christ
Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
Repentance is a change of mind toward God and sin that turns the heart toward Him. Faith means trusting Jesus Christ alone as your Saviour.
You are not trusting a prayer, a church, a preacher, or your own goodness. You are trusting the finished work of Jesus Christ.
YOU CAN BE SAVED TODAY
Call Upon the Lord in Faith
The Bible promises that anyone who truly comes to Christ in repentance and faith will be received.
Salvation Is Personal
No one can believe for you. No family member, pastor, church, or religious ceremony can substitute for your own faith in Jesus Christ.
You may call upon the Lord wherever you are. Prayer does not save you; Jesus Christ saves. But you can speak to God honestly, confessing that you are a sinner, turning to Him, and trusting Christ alone to save you.
There are no magic words. God looks upon the heart.
ROMANS 10:9
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
CAN I KNOW FOR SURE?
God Wants You to Know
Assurance is based on the promise of God, not on changing emotions.
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life...”
When you trust Jesus Christ according to His Word, your confidence rests in what God has promised, not in how saved you happen to feel on a particular day.
REMEMBER
Salvation Is Not...
Good Works
Good deeds cannot erase sin or purchase eternal life.
Church Membership
Joining a church does not make a person saved.
Baptism
Baptism follows salvation; it does not produce salvation.
Religion
Salvation is found in Jesus Christ, not in a religious system.

Salvation is the beginning of your new life in Christ, not the end of the journey.
The next steps include publicly identifying with Christ through baptism, learning the Bible, prayer, assembling with a local church, growing in grace, and sharing the Gospel with others.
